Cameras and Lenses
Canon T7i

This is my first real camera. Great entry level DSLR. I looooove this thing. The perfect price point to get my feet wet and learn videography / photography from the ground up. I got this Mar/18 and have had sooooo much fun with this thing.
G7x Mark ii

This thing is a champ! Superior autofocus AND lowlight performance! Point and shoot is the goal. No messing around, ready to go in 1/2 second kind of camera is what I wanted here. Something I can grab and capture at a moments notice.
Yi Discovery Action Cams

These things are cheeeeeap but gooooood. You get what you pay for and I was looking for great time lapse footage with zero messing around. Set and go to work. I use this with a powerbank and have ran them for 23 hrs straight without touching them once. 100% confidence.
Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8

I needed a wide angle lens and this was the best compromise. Sure it’s got a loud AF motor, but there is a lot louder things in my vids than this thing. It’s low light is what I was after. I often shoot under cars or inside walls or somewhere semi dark so a fast lens is better than a quiet lens. I LOVE this ting. Soooo wide.
Canon 35mm f/2 IS USM

This lens is awesome! I saw on a YT vid that this is near the human eye so things “look” right. I don’t know about that but I do reeeeeally like this thing, but mostly because of its image stabilization. I never knew how good that could be until this guy. I’m always looking for more IS lenses now!
Canon 18-55mm f/4-5.6 IS STM

Stocker lens that came with my DSLR. It’s okay, has plastic mount tho which is not satisfying to connect not to mention weaker than the Al rings. It’s a okay its not my fav at all though. In fact I have used it maybe twice.
Canon 24mm f/2.8

This was my 2nd lens after the nifty fifty. I got a little ahead of myself and discovered this thing is trash. Well to be fair its okay its just slow at f/2.8 and it’s image is just so meh. I still have it but worth a mention due to its absolute tiny size. Lightweight lens is where it excels!
Canon 50mm f/1.8

This is the first lens I bought and a “nifty fifty” should be everyone’s first buy. So so so good. With that f/1.8 it helped jump start my understanding of bokeh. Super important lens for education purposed alone. And you can’t beat that price!
