High value for your dollar entry level gimbal. This thing has everything you need without sacrificing quality where it’s needed. High rigidity joints means no jitter like I had seen in other gimbal demo’s. All the regular features that you would expect. I love this thing so much for the buttery smooth B roll it can produce. So many uses!
With video you have your hands tied with light intensity. Too dark and you have to crank the ISO and the footage gets grainy or noisy. But if its to bright you have to sacrifice aperture size and lose that creamy bokeh. To get it back you need a variable ND filter to knock some of the intensity down to maintain a giant aperture size. If I’m outside I guaranteed have this filter on.
Extra long legs and no ball head makes this a sturdy and near untippable base for my gimbal. When folded up It makes for an extra long handle to get that extra height or reach that you might need. The ultimate base.
This stand coupled converted to a camera stand with the ball heads are perfect for placing the action cams, the mics, or the lights exactly where they are needed with out being intrusive or obstructive in any way. Need to adjust? Insanely fast adjustments keeps the project momentum moving forward instead of wasting time adjusting setups.
With the dual handle it makes it more interesting to try and reach the controls. I got this thing to fix that problem. It works great however it wants to hog the Bluetooth pairing so you have to chose one or the other when you power up the gimbal. Not an issue, just something to keep in mind.
Amazing power banks that comes with a small carry pouch that is perfect for attaching to the action cameras and leaving them. I have left them on and recording for upto 23 hrs which is so far that’s my longest session. Aluminum case means they are super durable too. Hard to beat this little thing for the price.
I got this ND filter because it was super cheap. Its great, but it will not produce as clear of an image as much more expensive ones. It’s simply cheaper glass, not terrible glass. Great to see if variable ND filters are for you before dropping the big coin.
These were recommended by Peter McKinnon and man was he right! I used these things everywhere I need to wrap a cord quick or attach to my tactic back pack. Need to hang that power bank for the camera somewhere? These things always come through in a pinch.
This backpack is so awesome. I have 2 versions of it it, it is that good. This one is my day pack which is the mid sized version. Its perfect for the day trip as its small and easy to get around packed urban trains or a dense forest. So many pockets and adjustable dividers you can’t really run out of ways to pack things, you only run out of time to iterate. So fun to see how much you can get in it.
Needed to mount the Yi cams on anything. They don’t make one specifically for the Yi Discovery so this one needs a bit of modification for the USB port. Small easy mod that makes this a key piece of kit once completed.
Newmowa LP-E17 Battery (2 pack) and Dual USB Charger Kit
Dual battery kit for my T7i so that I can have 3 total. Allows me to shoot non stop on battery power with 1 always at full charge. 3 is enough to allow basically uninterrupted recording. I use this with the power banks to stay ultra mobile through out the day.
Newmowa NB-13L Battery (2 pack) and Dual USB Charger for G7X
Dual battery kit for my G7x mkII so that I can have 3 total. Allows me to shoot non stop on battery power with 1 always at full charge. 3 is enough to allow basically uninterrupted recording. I use this with the power banks to stay ultra mobile through out the day.
This backpack is so awesome. I have 2 versions of it it, it is that good. This one is my travel pack that I like to use on planes or longer trips. I can get nearly everything I own production wise into it. It perfectly fits underneath a plane seat with a bit of room to spare for my shoes. So many pockets and adjustable dividers you can’t really run out of ways to pack things, you only run out of time to iterate. So fun to see how much you can get in it.
Everyone needs a monopod for the ultra mobile stability it can offer. The Manfrotto is great value for the dollar. This thins is crazy light too. I wish it had a different base but this is my budget monopod so it’s perfect for what it is.
